Who Runs This Board
Last updated August 17, 2026
PinoyLucks is a small, independent content site. We write about the parts of playing pokies that happen between people — forums, communities, moderation, the mechanics behind the games — not about which operator you should pick. There’s no ranking table here and no “top 10 casinos” list, because that isn’t what this board is for.
Why community, not rankings
Most sites in this space compete on the same review format: a star rating, a bonus code, a “visit site” button. We started this board in 2025 with a narrower question instead — what actually makes a player community worth being part of, and what makes one worth staying away from? That’s a different skill from picking an operator, and it’s the one our published pieces so far have stuck to: how forum moderation works, what an active community adds over reading reviews alone, how player talk shapes a casino’s reputation for better or worse, and the mechanics — like RTP — that community threads bring up constantly without always explaining properly.
Who’s behind it
The board is written and edited by Marisol Panganiban, Community Editor. It’s a working pen name rather than a mystery byline — full details are on the author page. We’re a small operation: one editorial voice, one point of contact, no editorial “team” pretending to be bigger than it is.
Who we’re writing for
New Zealand has a large and growing Filipino community, and this board is written with that reader in mind first. That said, nothing here is gatekept — the community-literacy pieces and the mechanics explainers apply just as well to any NZ pokies player, whatever brought them to the page.
What this site is, plainly
PinoyLucks is an affiliate content site. We are not a gambling operator, we don’t hold a gambling licence ourselves, and we don’t process deposits, withdrawals or bets. Some of the links we publish earn us a commission when a reader signs up through them — full detail on how that works is on the how we get paid page. If you’re looking for how we decide what to cover and how we correct mistakes, that’s on how this board gets checked. If you want to reach us directly, the contact page has a real inbox, not a form that vanishes into nothing.
